ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday took PTI’s dissident MNAs to the task, saying those who stabbed the prime minister in back would face “exemplary” humiliation at the public’s hands.

“I dare those who hide in Islamabad to go to their constituencies… you will be beaten by hundred of shoes in every one minute,” he said while addressing a charged crowd at the Parade Ground where a large number of people gathered for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) historic public meeting.

He said a huge crowd of people at the Parade Ground showed that the entire nation stood by Prime Minister Imran Khan who did not care about the power. He added that ousting the prime minister from the power would affect the masses as he was not only striving for the welfare of masses but also the entire Muslim Ummah.

He said the PTI only wanted to remain in public which brought the party into the government. It had no interest in the power, the minister added. He said those who wanted to oust the prime minister would have to go through the people who stood behind him like a rock.

PM will not bow before enemies

Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak has said Prime Minister Imran Khan is determined to take the country forward and will not bow before the foes of the country.

“Imran Khan will not give NRO to those, who plundered wealth of the country. The time has come when the people of Pakistan will have to stand with Imran Khan against turncoats,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi said the opposition has tabled no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan for saying ‘Absolutely Not.’ He said Prime Minister Imran Khan always keeps Pakistan’s interests supreme.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Prime Minister Imran Khan will not give NRO to the looters at any cost. He said massive participation of the masses in today’s public rally shows that the people have trust in the leadership of Imran Khan. He said the nation has awakened and it will support the good and oppose the evil.

Nation behind Imran Khan

Minister for Federal Education, Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood said the entire nation is standing behind Imran Khan, rejecting evil practices of horse-trading by the opposition parties.

Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination and leader of the Grand Democratic Alliance Dr Fehmida Mirza said GDA supported Imran Khan and joined the government on principles.

Condemning the horse-trading, she said this is lethal for the democracy. She said we are supporting Imran Khan for the sake of Pakistan. She urged the media to expose the bad governance of PPP in Sindh, which has increased sufferings of the people of the province.

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Khan said Imran Khan will successfully sail through the no-confidence test and the gang of thieves to face defeat in the National Assembly.

Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul said women will continue supporting Imran Khan for pursuing an independent policy, highlighting Kashmir dispute and the issue of Islamophobia at the international forums.

Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Niazi said Imran Khan became the ambassador of Kashmiris. He said Kashmiris have great trust in Imran Khan and fully support him.

‘Gang of thieves’

Planning Minister Asad Umar said Imran Khan is fighting the war of Pakistan, where people of the country can take their decisions independently.

He said they want good relations with everyone and can be partner in peace, but are not ready for becoming slaves. He said Imran Khan has successfully raised Ummah’s voice against Islamophobia.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said the opposition is a gang of thieves and looters and they will not succeed in undermining Prime Minister Imran Khan in his quest to take the country forward.

A large number of PTI workers, including women, participated in the mammoth public rally entitled ‘Amr Bil Maroof’, which was held at the Parade Ground in Islamabad.
