ISLAMABAD: Federal government has announced that it would put no hurdles in the Pakistan People Party’s (PPP) long march to Islamabad, begun from Karachi under the leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmad said that everyone had the right to stage a protest. “They are coming to Islamabad in 10 days, it is only 10 days’ drama, one day passed and only 9 left, I have talked to Chief Minister Punjab regarding the long march and we have decided to create no hurdles for it, rather we will care it,” he added, however, said that the long march creating problems for masses.
Criticizing opposition parties’ consider no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, Shaikh Rashid said that a deadlock had occurred in the move as opposition parties did not have trust in each other. He went on and said that the government had full confidence over its allies which is why the opposition would face a failure.
The PPP began its ‘Awami Long March’ headed by the party’s chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari from Karachi. The participants of the long march thronged at the Quaid’s mausoleum and started the march from Karachi to reach the federal capital Islamabad within 10 days.
