ISLAMABAD: At least 244 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan while six more people have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,289,293 people were infected with coronavirus across the country, while 28,836 people lost their lives to the virus.
During the last 24 hours, 39,387 tests were performed for the diagnosis of coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 2,25,64,577. Across the country, the corona test result was 0.61 percent while the condition of 731 patients was critical.
In the last 24 hours, the coronavirus was defeated by 308 people across the country, bringing the total number of healthy people to 1,251,409. There were 9,048 active cases of coronavirus across the country and mortality remains at 2.2 percent.
The highest number of coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh while deaths were reported in Punjab where 443,886 people fell victim to the virus while 13,052 died. In Sindh, 478,017 cases of coronavirus and 7,638 deaths were reported.
In different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 180,696 people fell victim to coronavirus while 5,892 died. In Balochistan, 33,532 cases of the virus were reported and 363 people lost their lives.
In Azad Kashmir, 34,608 people were infected with coronavirus and 743 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,426 cases were reported while 186 people died. In Islamabad, 188,128 cases and 962 deaths were reported.
