NEW DELHI/ISLAMABAD: India has sought permission from Pakistan to use its airspace for flights from occupied Kashmir.
The Indian government has also made a formal request to Pakistan. The government has sought a report from the concerned agencies. Earlier, India had also sought permission to use Pakistani airspace.
Civil Aviation will send all the reports to the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the light of the report, the Government of Pakistan will decide on the request of India.
It may be recalled that Pakistan has banned the use of Pakistani airspace on flights flying from occupied Kashmir.
Last month, an Indian airliner used Pakistani airspace with the permission of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). According to a CAA spokesperson, the Indian airliner flew from Srinagar in occupied Kashmir to Sharjah.
