QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal has said that it is illegal for the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) to nominate a president in his presence.
In a message on Twitter, Balochistan CM said there was a formal procedure for resignation. The party president or official resigns in writing under this procedure in order to be accepted, he said.
Resignation has a mechanism and official Procedure. A party president or position holder gives in writting through a procedure for it to be accepted.
I am surprised how GS BAP has processed zahoor buledi case by breaking all norms and procedures while the president exists. https://t.co/OwBEc8DO6R pic.twitter.com/r36GXpqsaL

In the message, the chief minister said that he was surprised that the General Secretary of BAP had made Zahoor Buledi the President in violation of all the rules and regulations of the party while he was still holding the post of President.
It may be recalled that Jam Kamal is still the party president of BAP. However, according to the BAP notification circulating on social media, BAP general secretary Manzoor Khan Kakar nominated Zahoor Buledi as the acting president of the party.
According to the notification, intra-party elections will be held in BAP after the resignation of Jam Kamal, before which the presence of the acting president is required. However, according to Jam Kamal Khan’s Twitter message, he has withdrawn his resignation.
Earlier, outraged members of the BAP and their allies filed a no-confidence motion against CM Jam Kamal Khan, which deepened the political crisis.
Other leaders including Saeed Hashmi, Jan Jamali, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, and Asad Baloch were also present at the time of filing the petition in the Secretariat of Balochistan Assembly two days ago. Zahoor Buledi said that unemployment and unrest were on the rise in the province.
