ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Balochistan today on Wednesday and lay the foundation stone of Jhal Jao-Bela Road in Awaran district.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan said that the government was paving the way for the socio-economic upliftment of the people by connecting remote areas of Balochistan by road.
He said that construction of Zhob Kuchlak, Dera Murad Jamali Bypass, Kuchlak Khuzdar, Nokandi Mashkeel, Quetta Western Bypass, Ziarat Sanjawi, Chamalang, Awaran Hoshab, Rakhni Bekar highways would improve the communication system in the province.
The chief minister said that during the last three years, various sports competitions including the Chief Minister’s Diamond Jubilee Football Tournament were held which gave a opportunity to talented players of Balochistan including Quetta.
In another message, he said that completion of other educational institutions including Girls College in Nawan Kali would meet the standard infrastructure and requirements while the government has also planned boarding schools in the province.

Earlier Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed has informed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will perform groundbreaking of Jhaljao-Bela project in the upcoming week.
While disclosing details of construction and maintenance schemes for the Balochistan National Highways, he said the current government has undertaken a number of road building schemes in Balochistan. He said that development and prosperity in the country’s largest province will ultimately lead to development of the country.
“Our endeavor is to transform Balochistan into a prosperous, peaceful and developed province where people may avail all facilities like clean drinking water, employment and business opportunities equally,” Saeed said. “The incumbent government not only approved western route of CPEC but also started ZhobKuchlak project.”
It is pertinent to mention that work on 146-km HoshabAwaran project is in full swing and progress on this project is ahead of schedule.
The minister highlighted that work on the 165km Ziarat Mor – Kuch –Harnai Highway and 198km Basima-Khuzdar Highway is also in progress, adding that construction work of Basima-Khuzdar will be completed this year.
