KABUL: In the ongoing contacts between Pakistan and Afghanistan, ISI chief General Faiz Hameed has reached Kabul to meet the Taliban leadership.
ISI chief Lt. General Faiz Hameed arrived in Kabul this morning with a delegation of senior Pakistani officials. General Faiz Hameed will discuss with the Taliban leadership the immediate future of Pak-Afghan security, economic, and trade relations.
“We are working for peace and stability in Afghanistan,” ISI chief General Faiz Hameed said, according to Afghan media. Earlier in the day, a delegation led by Maulvi Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, Deputy Head of the Taliban’s Political Department, visited the Pakistani Embassy in Doha and met with the Pakistani Ambassador to discuss the latest situation, Pak-Afghan relations, and bilateral issues.

It should be noted that yesterday, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that there is no such situation in Afghanistan where people leave everything and leave. Pakistan has influence over the Taliban but it is not under control.
Talking on Friday, the Federal Minister said that Afghan refugees have not yet entered Pakistan, we want the situation in Afghanistan to remain stable and we are trying to open Kabul Airport as soon as possible, he maintained.
