Afghan cricketers have started preparations for the ODI series against Pakistan in the Afghan capital Kabul. The PCB says that whether there will be a series or not, doubts should be dispelled.
According to details, Afghan board officials will host the home ODI series against Pakistan in Sri Lanka, which will have three matches in the first week of next month.
Doubts and reservations were expressed over the series after the Taliban took over Afghanistan, but the national cricket team will play its first three ODIs against Afghanistan in Hambantota.

The Afghan Cricket Board (ACB) recently appointed former Sri Lankan cricketer Aveshka Gunawardene as batting coach, who has been cleared of corruption charges. Afghan cricketers attend training sessions in Kabul. Photos of the training camp in Kabul were shared on social media and the Afghan squad is ready to leave for Sri Lanka soon.
Kabul Airport also reopened on August 18, prompting news of the Afghan cricket squad’s departure from Sri Lanka. Pakistan is also preparing for the series.
The second and final Test match of the national cricket team in the West Indies will end on August 24. Returning players will rarely be able to train in Lahore. Pakistan is awaiting the announcement of the schedule.
The PCB has decided to hold a training camp in Lahore from August 21 to 28. SOPs will be followed and tests will be performed to prevent corona.
