He alleged that the men belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) perpetrated the cowardly attack. He said that Asad Zardari, Imran Zardari, Babu Domki and others were involved in the firing incident.

The opposition leader complained that the SSP Benazirabad did not attend his call through which he wanted to register a complaint.

“The PPP could not frighten me through such cowardly attacks,” he said. “I will keep exposing the corruption of the PPP’s Sindh government,” he vowed. The attackers also chanted slogans against Sheikh and his party.  An FIR  of the incident has not been lodged so far.

The opposition leader He said in a statement that stones were hurled on the vehicles and political workers were attacked outside Zardari House.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail condemned the attack on Haleem Adil Shaikh’s convoy in Nawabshah.

Imran Ismail said that the provincial government will be responsible if something happens to Haleem Adil Shaikh and urged authorities to immediately arrest the perpetrators.

He termed the incident an attempt to destroy the peace situation in the province and a bid to pressurise the political opponents by using such tactics.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill said that PPP was involved in carrying out attacks on PTI leaders in Sindh. He strongly condemned the attack on Sheikh.
