Taking to Twitter, he announced a comprehensive list of all the upcoming reforms that were initiated in the ministry in 2018. “The process that was started in 2018 to initiate reforms in the information ministry is being resumed,” Fawad said.

The minister announced that PTV News will be made into a high-definition (HD) channel by June 1, adding that the matter has been delayed since 2019. “PTV Sports will also be made an HD channel in the same year,” he added.

Terming the revival of film and drama “first priority”, Fawad said young filmmakers will also be given loans. “A loan worth up to Rs50 million will be offered to drama and filmmakers under the Kamyab Jawan Programme,” he added.
