ISLAMABAD: The federal government has issued a new guideline for Pakistani nationals returning home from South Africa and the United Kingdom based on conditional permission.
According to details, Pakistani citizens will be allowed to return home conditionally from the UK and South Africa. The Civil Aviation Authority said that travel bans to the UK and South Africa have been extended until 31st January.
On the other hand, the government has given conditional permission to Pakistani nationals in Africa and the UK to come to Pakistan from today. Passengers with dual citizenship will also be able to travel to Pakistan from the UK or South Africa.
Pakistani citizens with short-term visas residing in the UK will be allowed to return home. Citizens and diplomats holding work permit visas and Pakistani passports will also not be barred from entering Pakistan.
Citizens with NicoB reserved for overseas Pakistanis will also be able to return to the country. However, due to the presence of a new type of Corona in the UK, passengers have been allowed to travel only after taking a negative report of coronavirus test.
Passengers will be tested for coronavirus on arrival in Pakistan. Even after the report is negative, passengers will spend 5 days in quarantine. Diplomats and their families have special permission to visit the country.

It may be recalled that earlier, 200 Pakistanis stranded in India due to coronavirus lockdown returned home through the Attari-Wagah border during September last year.
Several Pakistanis were stranded in India in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, New Delhi, and Rajasthan after train services between Islamabad and New Delhi was suspended on 15th August 15 after the spread of the coronavirus.
