MINGORA: Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurated Sehat Card Plus programme for the entire population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Addressing a public gathering during his visit to Swat, the prime minister said that the construction of motorways and expressways will change the fate of Swat and the resumption of tourism will bring prosperity as it generates revenue and brings foreign investment.

PM Imran Khan thanked the people of Mingora for giving him a warm welcome and said that KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has taken him on a visit to Gabin Jabba. He lauded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for launching the programme and taking the decision to give health cards to all its citizens.

Addressing the youth in the crowd, the prime minister repeated once again that his government envisions a Pakistan based on the principles of the state of Madinnah. He added that the state had two principles based on humanitarianism and the rule of law.

PM Imran Khan said that the decision taken by KP government to provide health cards was derived from the first principle. He added that with every family will have Rs1 million as a health cover and there will no budgetary concerns.

“There will be surety in a household that if someone falls sick he will have a health card and can get treatment in any hospital, be it government or private,” said the prime minister.

With the KP’s new Sehat Card Plus programme, all 40 million domicile holders regardless of where they live in Pakistan will receive health insurance worth Rs1 million per year.

PM Khan said that the federal government will also provide houses on easy instalments under the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, and is introducing an academic system that will benefit the children of a common man.

He said a new CRPC has been approved for speedy trials besides bringing improvements in the current justice system and cases related to lands in KP and Punjab will be wrapped up within one year.

The prime minister lashed out at the opposition, stating that thieves have joined hands to get NRO. He slammed Nawaz Sharif for targeting the armed forces and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) while fleeing to London after looting the national treasury.

He said Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari have joined hands against the PTI government to hide their financial wrongdoings, adding giving them any reprieve will be tantamount to treason.
