LAHORE: PM’s Special Assistant on Political Communications Shehbaz Gill hit back at PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq’s controversial remarks on Indian pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan, saying the former National Assembly speaker should not have given such a statement.
“How did you know that the prime minister’s legs were shaking?” he asked while addressing a press conference in Lahore today (Friday). “If our legs were shaking, would we have shot down two planes?” he added.
The special assistant further asked, “Were you sitting at the feet of the prime minister, or were you wiping Imran Khan’s sweat with a handkerchief that you found out he was sweating?”
Shehbaz Gill also said, “If his legs were trembling, the Prime Minister would not have said Pakistan will not think twice before taking retaliatory action.”
The PM’s aide also pointed out that the PML-N leader’s clarification was delivered in an inappropriate manner. “Ayaz Sadiq reiterated the statement of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he added.
“The Pakistan Army is considered to be the most professional army in the world. They are protecting the ideological and geographical borders of our beloved homeland,” he concluded.
