ISLAMABAD: Representatives of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of major opposition parties, have decided to hold a public rally in Karachi on October 18.
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad today after attending a meeting of PDM, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Ahsan Iqbal announced a new schedule of anti-government protest rallies in the four provinces, including Gilgit Baltistan.
The PML-N leader said that as part of the campaign against the government, the PDM will also hold public gatherings and rallies in Gujranwala on October 16, October 20 in Gilgit Baltistan and in Quetta on October 25.
The opposition parties’ next rally would be held in Quetta on October 25 adding that the PDM will hold massive gatherings in Peshawar and Multan on November 22 and 30, respectively, he added.
Lastly, a massive gathering will be held in Lahore, after which this fake set up will not be able to stand on its feet, he said.

The nation will announce that they want the rule of Constitution and law in the country, Iqbal said without mentioning the date.
Flanked by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who is appointed PDM’s Secretary-General and other senior opposition leaders, Iqbal said the meeting also condemned the first information report (FIR) lodged against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders.
He alleged that the government has damaged the Kashmir cause by implicating Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider in the FIR.
The PML-N said that an organized and incompetent gang is currently dominating the country, a gang that puts political opponents in jails, she maintained.
He said that constitutional rights are suspended in Pakistan, flour, sugar, and medicines have been stolen in the country.
On September 20, the opposition-led All Parties Conference (APC) announced to form the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) aimed at jointly launching a countrywide protest.
