KARACHI: Sindh government spokesperson, Murtaza Wahab has urged citizens to follow the precautionary measures issued by the government as the positive ratio of COVID-19 shot up to 3.6% in the province.
On a social media website Twitter, the spokesperson said that 10,881 COVID-19 samples had been taken in the last 24 hours and the positivity rate of the tests came out 3.6%. “The numbers are rising fast & the people need to exercise care & caution PLEASE,” he said.
“As on 29.09.2020 at 8 AM (last 24 hours), a total of 10,881 #COVID19 test samples were taken in Sindh. Out of the samples taken, 400 people have tested positive which makes the positivity ratio 3.6%,” Wahab added.

Pakistan has started easing COVID-19 curbs after infections in the country began to decline, according to government officials. The country’s phase-wise reopening of educational institutions will also conclude on September 30.
At least 672 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan and the total number of active cases has reached 8,702.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, eight people have lost their lives in Corona in the last 24 hours across the country. The death toll from the coronavirus has risen to 6,474 across the country and the total number of cases has reached 311,516.
The number of coronavirus cases in Sindh has reached 136,395. 99,292 cases have been reported in Punjab, 37,726 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,177 in Balochistan, 16,532 in Islamabad, 2,663 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 3,730 in Gilgit.
