LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Talal Chaudhry was severely injured after being attacked by unknown assailants while he was traveling in his personal vehicle.
According to details, the former state minister suffered fractures on the left arm had and head injuries in the attack and was shifted to Lahore due to the lack of an orthopedic surgeon.
The incident occurred in Faisalabad two days back when two unknown persons roughed him up. Sources added that Talal’s likely assailants were the brothers of the PML-N female MNA.
Party sources informed that the brothers of MNA Ayesha Rajab Baloch beat him for allegedly harassing her. Referring to the incident, PM’s aide on political communication Shahbaz Gill condemned the ‘harassment’ of the female lawmaker.
“The government would take action over the incident and will protect the female lawmaker from hooliganism,” Shahbaz Gill wrote on Twitter.
The PM’s aide further said that Faisalabad police should take immediate legal action and a security detail should be deployed at the MNA’s house. “The incident brings the real face of PML-N before the people,” he added.
