RAWALPINDI: Two soldiers were martyred as Indian troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violations in Dewa Sector along the Line of Control.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Pakistan Army responded and target those posts which initiated fire. There have been reports of substantial damage to Indian posts and troops.
During intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Noor-ul-Hassan, aged 29 years, and Sepoy Waseem Ali, aged 25 years, embraced martyred. The military’s press wing said there have been 2,333 ceasefire violations by India troops this year.
On Saturday, two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom in exchange of fire with terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan.
According to ISPR, security forces conducted an operation in Spalga, Miranshah, area of North Waziristan. The soldiers were identified as Havaldar Tajbar Ali, a 38-year-old resident of Swat, and 22-year old Sepoy Rashid from Parachinar.
Earlier, security forces killed four terrorists in an exchange of fire during an operation in Awaran district of Balochistan.
The operation was conducted by the security forces after they received confirmation about the presence of terrorists in the area. Security forces also destroyed the terrorist’s hideout and seized a large cache of arms, ammunition and communication equipment during the operation.
