LAHORE: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif’s bail has been extended till 24th September.
A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court heard Shehbaz Sharif’s bail plea in a money laundering reference. Shehbaz Sharif was also present in the court on the occasion but the court adjourned the hearing till Thursday.
The NAB team was also present in the court to arrest Shehbaz Sharif in case of cancellation of bail. The Lahore CCPO was also present in the High Court in view of the possible arrest of Shehbaz Sharif. Lahore CCPO Omar Sheikh also reviewed the security situation in the Lahore High Court.
The Lahore CCPO had instructed the police personnel not to let the workers get angry and to control the workers in case of possible arrest of Shehbaz Sharif while also trying to prevent damage to government property.

It should be noted that a large number of PML-N workers were present outside the court to express solidarity with Shehbaz Sharif.
The Lahore High Court yesterday extended Shehbaz Sharif’s interim bail by one day. Arguments were given in the court by Shehbaz Sharif’s lawyer Azam Nazir Tarar.
Lawyer Azam Nazir Tarar said that the reference against Shehbaz Sharif and others has been filed in the accountability court. He requested that we be ordered to give the Ground of Arrest.
