LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif has confirmed the news of his meeting with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Appearing in the court, Shehbaz Sharif said that he had met Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa before the All Parties Conference (APC) and he was present at the meeting with the Army Chief. “If the news of the meeting with the army chief has become public, I do not deny it,” he said.
Elaborating on the details of the meeting with the army chief, Shehbaz Sharif said that Gilgit-Baltistan was discussed in the meeting with Bajwa. He said that efforts were being made to suppress the PML-N but the decisions of APC would be implemented whether I was inside or outside.

Earlier, Interior Adviser Shehzad Akbar said that the parliamentary leaders did not meet the military leadership at Imran Khan’s request and if the meeting with the military leadership was at PM Imran Khan’s request.
He said that PPC Cement is the NRO of NAB while PPP and PML-N are one from within and the opposition blackmails us that you will also be held accountable tomorrow. Shehzad Akbar said that if we are held accountable tomorrow, then it should be done because only those who have had authority are held accountable. PPP and PML-N leaders are trying to save the leadership.
