KARACHI: The two accused in the Dr Maha Ali death case fled from the court in an effort to escape arrest after their interim bail pleas were rejected on Monday.
As per details, two suspects, Junaid and Waqas, who have been booked in the case, can be seen in a video running out of the court.
However, Junaid was caught outside of city court and he alleged that the investigation officer had taken Rs100,000 from the two suspects to influence the case in their favor.

Meanwhile, Dr Maha’s father had accused the suspects of getting his daughter “addicted to drugs”, adding that the two will be able to flee the country similar to the way they had managed to escape from the court premises.
A day earlier, police filed an interim charge-sheet in the case before a judicial magistrate. According to the challan, accused Saad Nasir had sold his licensed 9mm pistol to accused Tabish Yaseen for Rs55,000 on July 12, who gave it to Dr. Maha a month ago. Qureshi confirmed he bought the pistol from Saad.

Dr Maha Ali who committed suicide in Karachi’s Defense area on August 18, was a practicing doctor in a private hospital near Bilawal House in Clifton.

She was also an influencer on social media with a large following. Dr Maha was associated with the South City Hospital and her family was shifted a rental house just 15 days ago of the incident.
