ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal has said that the anti-graft body never filed a case against any innocent.
Javed Iqbal while addressing the function said that the NAB believes in a transparent accountability process and strives for redressal of public grievances. “The NAB was pursuing a policy of transparency and equal accountability and the credit for its success goes to everyone from the Deputy Messenger to the Chairman. Everyone’s self-esteem should be taken care of,” he further said.
Chairman NAB said that the refund of money to the victims in the Modaraba case is underway. People who have not read the NAB rules are also critical, while the NAB reviews every case from all angles and decides on merit.

Javed Iqbal said that big politicians challenge the NAB for debate but if there is more corruption then more cases will be registered. “We have been guided by the decisions of the Chief Justice,” he maintained.
He said that it is not a big deal to have bail in any case as bail is also given in murder cases. According to Iqbal, the NAB decides every case on merit.
