ISLAMABAD: A maize seller in the federal capital has accused various officials of Capital Development Authority (CDA) of taking bribes from him.
According to the details, a local trader named Gul Khan at Islamabad’s Zero Point area sells maize to generate income to feed his children, which includes 8 children.
The man further informed that he hardly earns Rs 500 to 600 daily, which isn’t enough for his family. He said that the officials of the Development Authority harassed him and demand a bribe in order to place his cart at the spot.
The local trader has appealed to the higher authorities to take notice of this issue and take strict action against the corrupt CDA officials.
Earlier, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) suspended six land directorate officials for alleged misconduct and corruption.
According to a notification issued by the authority, the suspended officials include two deputy directors who have been suspended on account of serious misconduct and negligence with immediate effect.
