ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said that PM Imran will visit Karachi on September 4 and he will announce various development projects for the metropolis under the Karachi Transformation Plan.
Addressing a press conference after the cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday, Shibli Faraz the federal government has developed this comprehensive plan on the directive of the PM to address Karachi’s dismal civic issues.
The minister further said that the people of Karachi have been passing through tough times for a long time.
Citizens have been facing a number of problems however “It seems the provincial government is not serious in addressing the issues,” Faraz added.
The people have experienced the 12-year tenure of PPP in Sindh province and the ruling political party in Sindh should publicize the expenditures on the port city now, he added.
The information minister highlighted that all the uplift schemes in the metropolis will be undertaken after taking the provincial government and stakeholders on board.

Speaking about Nawaz Sharif, Faraz said that now even the court has instructed the PML-N supremo to return at any cost.
Talking about the Financial Action Task Force’s legislation, the information minister said that the opposition should decide whether it wants to stand with Pakistan or India.
“India is our external enemy and spares no chances to bring us harm we won’t let India succeed in its plans pertaining to FATF” he added.
Earlier, PM Imran had directed that the Karachi Transformation Plan be finalized this week in consultation with all stakeholders so that the process of a formal approval and implementation phase for a permanent solution to Karachi’s problems could begin.
PM Imran Khan said that the development of the country is linked to the development of Karachi.
