LAHORE: Former Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif will visit Karachi this week.
The Pakistan Muslim League (N) President will leave for Karachi on 2nd September to visit rain-affected areas. During his visit to the city, Shehbaz Sharif will also hold meetings with party leaders while he will instruct the local PML-N leadership on relief activities in Karachi.
Shehbaz Sharif appealed to the nation to pray for Karachi as it facing the flood situation. PML-N President also lamented the loss of life and property due to rains and floods. He paid tribute to the institutions and volunteers for dealing with the emergency.
It is to be noted that Karachi was submerged during torrential rains last week where rehabilitation work is still going on while relief work is also being carried out in the affected areas by various NGOs.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has also announced a visit to Karachi in view of the current situation of the city. He said that he would personally visit Karachi in the next few days to review the situation and a plan will be formulated to solve the problems of Karachi.
