SWAT: At least 22 people have swept away as an aftermath of heavy rains and flash floods that inundated Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.
According to details, the floods in Swat damaged several houses while 22 people were swept away in river Swat. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that dead bodies of four have been found and twelve are saved while rescue activities are underway to find the rest of the six missing people.
The flash floods also damaged a mosque, two schools, several buildings, and connectivity bridges. The whole country, including Swat and Shangla, is witnessing the most powerful spell of monsoon rains.
In Karachi, at least 18 people were killed in various rain-related incidents. Record heavy spell of rain has wreaked havoc in Karachi, causing urban flooding, power outages, and traffic jams. The Met department has predicted more rainfall in the country during the next three years generating warnings of flooding.
