KARACHI: The novel COVID-19 has claimed one more life and infected at least 274 people during the past 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed infections to 121,144 in Sindh province.
In his daily update on COVID-19 in the province, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that one more patient died from the COVID-19 in 24 hours, taking the death toll from the disease to 2,358.
He said that 274 new COVID-19 cases reported in Sindh, taking the total number of infections across the province to 121,144.
The chief minister informed that currently, 4,463 patients were under treatment and added that 121,144 people had recovered from the disease in the province.
According to the CM, out of 318 new cases, 133 belong to Karachi, including 50 to South, 37 East, 17 Central, 14 Korangi, 10 Malir and five West.
Sanghar has 20 new cases, Mirpurkhas 14, Shikarpur 13, Tando Allahyar nine, Dadu and Shaheed Benazirabad eight each, Sukkur, Khairpur and Matiari seven each, Kambar five, Larkana and Tando Mohammad Khan four each, Umerkot three and Badin three each, Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Naushehroferoze two each.
The coronavirus has claimed 10 lives in Pakistan, bringing the total number to 6,219.
According to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center, 586 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 287,379.
So far, 273,579 cases of coronavirus patients have recovered in Pakistan, while the number of active cases in the country has come down to 10,626.
