ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain with thunderstorm in parts of the country.
The rain will pour in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper / Central Punjab, Pothohar, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan districts. The weather in Islamabad has turned pleasant after continuous rains from midnight to morning.
Rain also poured in different parts of Lahore, causing a drop in temperature. It also reduced the intensity of heat in most parts of Karachi. The PMD forecast light rain in Karachi with cloudy weather today.
The city recorded a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius in the morning. The maximum temperature in Karachi is likely to reach 34 degrees Celsius today.
In the morning, the humidity was recorded at 78 percent and the wind speed was 12 km per hour. It also rained in Phalia Tehsil of Punjab this morning due to which low lying areas were flooded.

The Meteorological Department also predicted the thunderstorm in and around Murree. More rain is forecast in Murree, Kahuta, Kotli Sattian, Galyat, Nathiagali, and Ayubia.
The weather will remain hot and humid in most districts of Balochistan but rain with strong winds is expected in Lasbela, Khuzdar, Barkhan, and surrounding areas.
Partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but thundershowers are expected in Dir, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Swat, Buner, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Karam, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan.
