ISLAMABAD: The 73rd Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with traditional fervor at the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) headquarters in Islamabad.
The simple and dignified flag hoisting ceremony was attended by retired and serving officers of the federal agency. Director-General FIA Wajid Zia was also present on the occasion.
Special prayers were offered for the security, development and prosperity of the country and for the independence of Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The ceremony reaffirmed that the dream of the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah would be fulfilled with hard work and dedication and his ‘Unity, Faith and Discipline’ motto. A minute’s silence was observed to pay tribute to the FIA martyrs and their sacrifices.
On the occasion, FIA’s officers and staff also pledged to dedicate themselves for the sake of the development and prosperity of the nation and internal and external stability.
