KARACHI: North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI) leaders have announced the schedule of the annual election for the year 2020-21.
According to the announcement, nomination papers can be submitted from 12th to 18th August 2020, while the annual elections will be held on 15th September 2020.
Annual General Body Meeting has summoned on Saturday 26th September 2020, in which the new office bearer’s names will be announced and the annual accounts will be also approved.
Muhammad Arif has been appointed as the Election Commissioner while Mumtaz Alam and Noor Adil have been appointed as members to conduct the polls.
Earlier, NKATI patron-in-chief Moiz Khan and President Naseem Akhtar urged the government to take measures for industrialization for overcoming crises due to COVID-19 so that the country could move faster on the path of economic development and create more employment opportunities.
In a statement, NKATI leaders said that the promotion of industries should be the top priority of the government in the upcoming budget policy as only if new industries are set up will unemployment be eliminated and tax targets are achieved. Strategies for industrialization should be formulated and investors should be encouraged by providing relief.
