ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has issued a warning for the re-emergence of coronavirus cases in Muharram.
A meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar in which a briefing was given on the steps taken to ensure the health of the people during Muharram.
Asad Umar said that various sectors including tourism have been opened but in spite of this implementation of trace track and test policy is necessary.
The cabinet in the meeting said that the epidemic could re-emerge if SOPs are not implemented. According to the statement, the Minister for Religious Affairs informed the forum about the consultation with the Ulema.
Umar urged the federal and provincial administrations to ensure the safety and welfare of the people through effective measures against the coronavirus during Muharram.
All restaurants, hotels, gyms, theatres, cinemas, beauty parlors, and other businesses have reopened across the country after sanctions imposed on Pakistan to curb the spread of the coronavirus have been lifted.
All the restrictions on the business activities across the country have also been lifted from today with strict enforcement of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) issued in the wake of coronavirus.
