KARACHI: Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab has claimed the city of Mirpurkhas is fully functional despite heavy rainfall and continuous load-shedding.
In a tweet on Friday, the minister while thanking the Sindh government wrote that such quality service is available 24 hours to people in the city.

According to Murtaza Wahab, a new-born baby was also born in the hospital of Mirpurkhas city. However, seasonal rains are continuing in Karachi due to which the power transmission system has been disrupted and power supply has been suspended in 60 percent residential areas of the city.
The power supply has been suspended in Korangi, FB Area, Saeedabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 16, 15, 9, and 8 areas. As per spokesman for Electric, power has been restored in FB Area and KDA scheme 33, Model Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar 12, 13, Liaquatabad 2, and 3 as a precautionary measure.

He said that the power supply to the affected areas would be restored as soon as drainage and safety clearance was received. It may be recalled that intermittent heavy rains started in Karachi last night due to which water has accumulated on the roads, the traffic system is in disarray and the life system has become chaotic.
