LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has ordered a strict action against hoarders to curb hoarding and artificial inflation in the province.
CM Buzdar warned that he will not tolerate any negligence and said that people cannot be left at the mercy of hoarders. He directed the officials to show no leniency to anyone who is found involved in profiteering.
The chief minister also summoned a meeting of the Provincial Price Control Task Force. He also directed to activate price control committees at the district level to curb grand selling and hoarding.

Earlier, Buzdar had assured that the prices of sugar and flour will not be increased in Punjab. “If the need arises, raids will be conducted and I will inspect the warehouses myself,” the minister asserted.
He added that the provision of specialised machinery at flour and sugar warehouses will be handled by the government.
