ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has assured that the country will continue supporting Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir.
Turkish President expressed his assurance during a telephonic conversation with Pakistan President Arif Alvi. Both the leaders exchanged greetings at the Eid-ul-Adha festival.
President Alvi told his Turkish counterpart that Eidul Azha was being celebrated around the world amid various challenges including coronavirus pandemic. He praised the role of Turkey in a global fight against the pandemic.
Arif Alvi also highlighted the plight of Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IoJ&K), and the Muslims in India who are living under the shadow of fear and discrimination.
He said that the Indian government has continued its aggressive moves in IOJK for almost one year. “The occupation forces continued their atrocities in Palestine and Kashmir amid coronavirus crisis,” he added.
He recalled President Erdogan’s unequivocal statement before the UN General Assembly and expressed the hope that Turkey will continue to raise its principled voice on this issue.
Turkish President assured that Turkey and Pakistan have joint stances over the matters related to Kashmir dispute and Ankara will continue its complete support to Islamabad.
