KARACHI: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi has accused Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani of putting pressure on Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to form a committee against SP Rizwan Ahmed.
In a tweet on Thursday, the maritime affairs minister asked that if SP Rizwan Ahmad’s report on Saeed Ghani’s drug peddling brother was wrong, then why not file a defamation case on him.
If SP Rizwan Ahmad’s report on Saeed Ghani’s drug peddling brother was wrong, then why not file defamation case on him?
But Saeed Ghani uses his influence to pressure the CM to set up a committee against the SP & take vindictive actions.

Moreover, earlier this month, Ali Ziadi was also criticised by the Sindh chief minister that Zaidi had acted irresponsibly by making the Joint Investigation Team’s (JIT) report on Lyari gangwar kingpin Uzair Baloch controversial.
The chief minister had questioned the authenticity of the ‘original’ report by Zaidi and alleged said that the federal minister was favoring the gangster.
According to CM Murad Ali Shah, the federal minister should have verified the authenticity of the report given to him before making it public. “If Ali Zaidi’s statement helps the accused or destroys the case then there will be legal repercussions,” he said.
