SIALKOT: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has said that the coronavirus cases in several parts of Punjab are on the decline.
Talking to media in Sialkot, Dr. Yasmin Rashid maintained that the entire nation has played a role in the fight against the pandemic. She also announced that the federal government had approved building a new 200-bed hospital in Sialkot. which will cost around Rs4.5 million.
The provincial minister revealed that when she took over as health minister, 50 percent of the seats of doctors and professors were vacant and the government later hired 28,000 new employees, including doctors, professors, and nurses, which resulted in better health services for the masses.

She further said that the government has raised the salaries of doctors, nurses and issued 5 million health cards to the people. She added that when 7.2 million families will get health cards, 25 to 30 million people will benefit from the facility.
The health minister added that seven more districts of Punjab will get new hospitals and Prime Minister Imran Khan will perform the groundbreaking ceremony of the facilities.
