RAWALPINDI: A soldier of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom and another three were injured when terrorists opened fire on security forces in Balochistan’s Kech district today (Saturday).
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists opened fire on security personnel during routine patrolling near Pidarak, 35 kilometers far from Turbat city.
The military’s media wings further said, “During the exchange of fire, Lance Naik Javed Kareem embraced martyrdom and three others sustained injuries.” The injured soldiers have been evacuated to the hospital. Meanwhile, the security forces cordoned off the area and have launched a search operation.
Earlier on July 14, three soldiers were martyred and eight others injured when terrorists opened fire on security forces near Gichak valley in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, the militants conducted the “fire raid” when a security personnel party was on a routine patrol near the Gichak valley in Panjgur’s Kahan area.
Five of the injured security personnel were in critical condition, the statement read. The injured soldiers have been evacuated to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta.
