RAWALPINDI: The Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, in an intelligence-based operation, today (Saturday) has averted a “major terrorist activity” in Balochistan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), FC Balochistan conducted an IBO on a suspected terrorist hideout in Buleda, Turbat, Balochistan. The security forces killed a key terrorist of the proscribed Organisation (BLA).
The military’s media wing said, “A cache of arms and ammunition, grenades, communication equipment, and IED material was recovered from the hideout.”
Earlier today (Saturday), a soldier of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom and another three were injured when terrorists opened fire on security forces in Balochistan’s Kech district.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists opened fire on security personnel during routine patrolling near Pidarak, 35 kilometers far from Turbat city.
The military’s media wings further said, “During the exchange of fire, Lance Naik Javed Kareem embraced martyrdom and three others sustained injuries.” The injured soldiers have been evacuated to the hospital. Meanwhile, the security forces cordoned off the area and have launched a search operation.
