ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has reiterated that Pakistan was united over the Kashmir issue and no power could divide the country’s stance for demanding self-determination right to Kashmiris.
The statement came while addressing a seminar in connection with the Accession to Pakitan Day at National Press Club – Islamabad today (Sunday).
On the occasion, Masood Khan said that Indian brutal troops have martyred more than 500,000 innocent Kashmiris during the last seven decades.
“The people of Kashmir are the bravest around the world who sacrificed their lives while facing atrocities of Indian brutal forces,” he added.
The AJK president also highlighted that Federal Minister Shehryar Afridi was preparing a comprehensive strategy for highlighting the Kashmir issue on national and international forums.
He also criticised Indian government over bringing demographic changes in the disputed territory through adopting illegal moves by settling 32,000 Hindus in the IoK so far.
Earlier, while addressing the ceremony Shehryar Khan Afridi had asserted that Pakistan continues to provide political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris.
Shehryar Afridi strongly denounced the Indian-occupation regime for enacting new laws to enable illegal military cantonments in Indian occupied Kashmir.
“Thousands of Indian labourers have been brought for construction near the army Cantonment,” he added. He further said, “India is violating International law by settling Indians in the UN-recognized disputed territory.”
