ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Saturday) has expressed satisfaction over the performance of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
Earlier, it emerged that the Prime Minister was considering removing Usman Buzdar from his post and reshuffling in the provincial cabinet, after an important meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to details, Punjab Chief Minister called on the Prime Minister Imran Khan in Lahore today (Saturday). Matters pertaining to the development in the province, coronavirus situation, and political issues were discussed during the meeting.
A delegation of the members of the National and provincial Assembly belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf also called on the Prime Minister. The delegation apprised the Prime Minister about the development projects being executed in their constituencies.
On the occasion, PM Imran also appreciated the provincial government’s measures for curbing the coronavirus and relief efforts for the public.
The Prime Minister also directed the delegation for the solution to the genuine problems and completion of all development schemes.
Earlier on July 17, Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan refuted the rumors of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdae’s removal and reiterated that he will complete his tenure.
Federal Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz had also refuted the rumors of the removal of Usman Buzdar from Chief Minister Punjab post. He said, “Usman Buzdar is going nowhere. All speculations regarding his departure are Mala fide and baseless.”
