Assets details of SAPM, advisors now placed on website: Shibli Faraz

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz has said that the asset details of all PM’s special assistants and advisers are now available for public viewing.
Senator Shibli Faraz took to Twitter and said, “The Pakistan government has placed the assets of all SAPM’s, Advisers on the website of Cabinet division as instructed by Prime Minister Imran Khan.”

According to details, the government has issued asset details of 15 advisors and special assistants in the federal cabinet. It has been revealed that five of the advisors and special assistants of the cabinet possess dual nationality while two of them are green cardholders.
Special Assistant Zulfi Bukhari holds British nationality, and does not own any property in Pakistan. However, he has properties worth millions of rupees in London.
Nadeem Afzal Chan has Canadian citizenship while Moeed Yusuf and Shahbaz Gill are green cardholders. Shahzad Syed Qasim and Nadeem Babar have US citizenship while Tania Aidrus holds dual nationality of both Canada and Singapore.
Sania Nishtar owns gold worth Rs 500,000 along with a car. She is indebted to Rs 2.3 million. Shahzad Akbar owns assets worth above Rs 50 million.
The Advisors to Prime Ministers are appointed under Article 93 of the Constitution and SAPMs appointed under Rule 4 (6) of the Rules of Business of 1973.
The Advisors and SAPMs are enjoying perks and privileges equal to a federal minister and minister of state, and have been provided a furnished house in the Minister’s Enclave.
Additionally, they are entitled to perks and privileges including, cars, fuel, telephone, and household staff. A few advisors have reportedly claimed that they are not drawing a salary from the public exchequer and therefore not bound to declare their assets.
