QUETTA: National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal has said all health-related facilities would be provided to hospitals in Balochistan.
Speaking to the media in Quetta, Chairman NDMA Lt. General Muhammad Azfal said the provincial health department has improved performance in a short time to combat coronavirus.
He said facilities are being increased at the hospitals to deal with pandemic which can be overcome if SOPs and other safety precautions were implemented. He said doctors are the frontline fighters against COVID-19 and the entire nation appreciates their role.

He ensured strict enforcement of the SOPs on the Eid-ul-Azha and added that there is no other way till now to overcome the COVID-19 outbreak.
Replying to a question, he said NDMA is fully cooperating with Balochistan government in eradicating locusts. He added that nine aircrafts are taking part in anti-locusts spray operations in the province.
Earlier Chairman NDMA visited Fatimah Jinnah Hospital Quetta to review arrangements in connection with COVID-19 situation in the province.
