LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced that the provincial government would establish 20 Mobile “Arazi” Centers for the far-flung areas of the province.
CM Buzdar in a statement said these centers will facilitate citizens to avail of various services at their doorsteps. He said these services include the issuance of far (the ownership document) and the mutation of property.
The Chief Minister said the mobile Arazi centers have been linked with other Arazi centers in Punjab. CM Punjab said that the government is giving back the rights to people by bringing unique reforms in the system of governance.
On July 5, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had said there will be a functional secretariat in Multan with the additional chief secretary (ACS) to address the issues of people at their doorstep.
On a social media website Twitter, FM Qureshi said, “Multan will not be ignored in an administrative arrangement of South Punjab,” he said.
Foreign Minister Qureshi said PTI has made “tangible progress” in terms of fulfillment of manifesto commitments and will facilitate the people of South Punjab at their doorstep.

On July 1, Punjab government had formally appointed the additional chief secretary (ACS) and additional inspector general (AIG) for the proposed south Punjab secretariat, taking the first concrete step towards the realization of, what many call, south Punjab province.
Zahid Akhtar Zaman, a Grade 21 officer working as the irrigation secretary, had been appointed as the ACS and Inam Ghani, a Grade 21 police officer, as the AIG.
The secretariat, which would cover the divisions of Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan, is supposed to start working from July 1.
