KARACHI: Former President Asif Ali Zardari met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) President Maulana Fazlur Rehman at Bilawal House in Karachi today (Friday).
The PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto took to Twitter and said, “My father and I welcomed Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman at Bilawal House today.”
He further said, “The selected government has been exposed on all fronts during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.” He also shared the picture of his father with JUI-F leader.
“JUIF and PPP have worked together in the past and we must do so again to overcome the challenges to democracy, constitution, NFC, and economy,” he added.

Rumours suggesting Zardari’s health is deteriorating have been circulating on social media for the last couple of months. Zardari was shifted to a Karachi hospital in December 2019 after the IHC granted him bail on medical grounds.
JUI-F leader also telephoned Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. During the conversation, Chaudhry Shujaat invited Maulana Fazl to visit his Gujarat home.
Earlier on Thursday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the country has been put on the road to ruins, adding that the state institutions were not on the same page.
Speaking to the media after an All Parties Conference (APC), the JUI-F chief said that such was the condition of the country that no political entity was ready to run the government.
