KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light rainfall in Sindh’s capital today.
Weather in Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy with the maximum temperature ranging up to 36 degrees Celsius. Rain with strong winds is also expected in Thatta, Badin, Mirpur Khas, and Mithi.
There was heavy and light rain in Karachi yesterday. Rainfall was reported in areas of Malir, Landhi, Korangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Liaquatabad, and other areas.
According to the PMD, maximum rainfall of 30 mm was recorded in Surjani and 23 mm in North Karachi, 10 mm in PAF Masroor Base, 8 mm in PAF Faisal Base, 6.4 mm in Nazimabad, 6 mm in Saddar and 5.8 mm in University Road was recorded.

The MET office forecast mainly hot and humid weather in most southern parts of the country during the next twelve hours. Moreover, thundershowers are expected in Upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The weather will remain hot and humid in most parts of the southern Punjab province. Narowal, Sialkot, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Murree, and Taxila are expected to receive thundershowers.
Partly cloudy weather will prevail in upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, showers with thundershowers are expected in Dir, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Haripur, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Karam, Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, and Charsadda.
