ISLAMABAD: While taking notice of unannounced load shedding in Karachi, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Planning Minister Asad Umar to swiftly resolve Karachi power crisis.
According to details, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail today (Tuesday) called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad. Matters pertaining to K-Electric and coronavirus were discussed during the meeting.
The Prime Minister directed Federal Minister Asad Umar, Special Assistant Shehzad Qasim, and Governor Sindh to meet the K-Electric administration as soon as possible and ensure early resolution of the crisis.
On the occasion, Governor Sindh appreciated the Prime Minister’s vision and successful strategy regarding coronavirus pandemic.
Later, Governor Imran Ismail met Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar. The two personalities discussed ongoing development projects in Sindh under the Public Sector Development Programme.
On the occasion, Asad Umar expressed resolve to complete Prime Minister’s Karachi package projects expeditiously, aimed at addressing civic and mobility issues being faced by the citizens.
The Minister said that the federal government was committed to providing its share of funds and taking all measures needed to expedite the project. “Centre is awaiting the response of the Sindh Government on K-IV project,” he added.
Imran Ismail also informed the federal minister of various development activities being undertaken by the Sindh Infrastructure development Company.
