GUJRANWALA: The district police have arrested two owners of a clothing store for allegedly installing hidden cameras in the try room and blackmailing women customers.
According to details, Muhammad Aslam and his son Umer Aslam had installed a hidden camera in a try room in their shop in Nayab Shopping Mall at Satellite Town. They allegedly blackmailed women after having their videos.
A victim’s brother filed a complaint with Satellite Town police against the shopkeepers. The report stated that his sister visited the accused garments shop and noticed a hidden camera in the try room.
He stated that when she raised objection over the cameras, the shopkeeper owners got angry and claimed they had already many videos of her.
Her brother told the police that the shopkeepers also received Rs125,000 for deleting and not uploading the videos on social media.
In this regard, a team of the Satellite Town police station conducted a raid and arrested the two shopkeepers who confessed to their crime. Police have also seized their CCTV cameras and recordings and registered a case against them.
