KARACHI: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has surged to 185,034 in Pakistan, while the death toll stands at 3,695.
According to the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), more than 3,946 cases of coronavirus were reported while 105 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.
As many as 73,471 patients have recovered from the disease, while the country is still witnessing a consistent rise in the COVID-19 cases.
There have been 68,308 cases so far been detected in Punjab, 71,092 in Sindh, 22,633 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9,587 in Balochistan, 11,219 Islamabad, 1,326 in Gilgit Baltistan and 869 in Azad Kashmir.
Out of a total of 3,695 deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 808 deaths, Sindh 1,048, Balochistan 176, Gilgit-Baltistan 21, Punjab 1,407, Azad Kashmir 19 and Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 98 deaths.
Moreover, nearly 55 percent of Pakistanis believe that the coronavirus threat is exaggerated, according to a survey by Gallup Pakistan.
The Coronavirus Attitude Tracker Survey by Gallup Pakistan is about changes in public perception, attitude and behaviour since the beginning of the lockdown in Pakistan; public response and behavior towards coronavirus initiatives and preventive measures; and the overall changes and impact of the lockdown on the daily lives of ordinary Pakistanis and businesses.
