KARACHI: A woman has reportedly kept her step-children chained without food for several months.
As per details, a stepmother, named Asma, kept two young children mainly of 4 and 10 years old, chained for five months without giving them something to eat in the Gulberg area.
They have been recently discovered in a miserable condition by the neighbors of the area. The children’s condition seemed bad without food and clothes.
Following their parent’s divorce, their father married again. However, the attitude of the stepmother towards the children was abusive and the father claims to be in a helpless state as he has lost his job.
When the neighbors tried to rescue the children after knowing the truth, Asma did not allow them to release the kids. Despite, a complaint being lodged in the police station by the neighbors, no serious action was taken. After an inquiry, the police give custody of children to the stepmother once again.
