KARACHI: Reowned singer Rahim Shah has tested positive for coronavirus, which has affected more than 144,300 people across the country.
The singer confirmed the news by taking to Twitter and informed fans and followers that he has already isolated himself at his residence.

“This is to inform you all that I am diagnosed as COVID positive and staying in self-isolation. Please take this seriously for the safety of every Pakistani as it is not a joke and do pray for my fast recovery,” he wrote.
Following the post, many of his fans took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery. Earlier, Rubaina Ashraf, Sakina Somo, Abrar ul Haq, Nida Yasir, Yasir Nawaz, Alizeh Shah, Naveed Raza, and Salman Ahmad have also tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), more than 5,248 cases of coronavirus were reported while 97 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.
As many as 53,721 patients have recovered from the disease, while the country is still witnessing a consistent rise in the COVID-19 cases. As per details, 21 percent of the cases have foreign travel history while 79 percent of the cases are reported to be locally transmitted.
