ISLAMABAD: A suspended station police officer (SHO) of the federal police is allegedly patronizing a brothel in the federal capital, it has been revealed.
According to details, the revelation came during the investigation into the murder of the national volleyball player Mohsin Farooq Samoot.
Preliminarily investigation of the volleyball player murder revealed that Mohsin Farooq along with his four friends had come to Islamabad and hired two flats in the housing society for a night. One of the flats was located on the third floor and the other on the fifth floor. It was the same housing society where the brothel was present.
Police arrested two prostitutes from one of the flats in the housing society. During the investigation, it was revealed that the flats were owned by sacked SHO Rana Abbas and ASI Zafar Talha.
Sources informed that property tycoons, including the Islamabad police officials, were also spotted several times in the flats. Sources further claimed that ASI Zafar Talha is blackmailing several senior police officers in this regard.
The former Investigating Officer (IO) of the murder of the volleyball player made important revelations in his investigation document. In this regard, the senior police officers removed him from the case.
Mohsin’s assassination was also the focus of several law enforcement agencies. One of the agencies has sent a detailed regarding the running of the brothel to the Interior Ministry.
